A Santa Clarita family is reeling after LA County social workers removed their foster daughter from their home – simply because she is 1/64th Choctaw.
Rusty and Summer Page have spent the past 4 years as foster parents to this girl (who is now 6) and have tried unsuccessfully to adopt her. County officials cited the federal Indian Child Welfare Act as their reason for removing the girl from the Page’s home in order to place her with distant relatives who live in Utah.
