Idaho Ministers Threatened Jail Time For Denying Same-Sex Couple

Tamara QuimiroArticles

Christian ministers named Donald and Evelyn Knapp have made a business for performing weddings at their owned chapel in Idaho. The pastors were asked by a same-sex couple to get them married and the pastors respectfully refused to do so. The city officials are trying to force them to get the couple married. Otherwise, the married pastors may be sent to jail for 180 days and pay $1,000 for every day they refuse. Since they do not actually pastor a church, they may not have a legal “leg” to stand on.
