Now that 2 Prominent Oregon Legislators Have Switched to Independent, Does Party Affiliation Matter Anymore?

Now that 2 prominent Oregon lawmakers have left their “major” political parties and have “gone independent,” I wonder if it’s time to drop the party affiliations altogether?
