Recently, the actress and evangelist, Priscilla Shirer, said she doesn’t describe herself as a black woman, but as a Christian woman who happens to be black. Shirer claims describing herself as a black woman would give too much power to her blackness. She would rather make her fellowship with Christ be her priority in identifying herself. A video of Priscilla’s comments went vital and she received a backlash from it. Priscilla went on to apologize for her comments later on.
