A controversial bill in Mississippi would require teachers to “grade” parents’ involvement in their child’s schoolwork.
HB 4 was passed by the Mississippi State House of Representatives and now awaits a State Senate vote. Schools are passionately against the measure . . . but legislators passed the bill in hopes of raising sagging test scores.
