A teacher in South Carolina routinely takes young boys to a “gentlemen’s club” – but they’re learning vital life lessons there instead of objectifying women.
Raymond Nelson is a teacher at Memminger Elementary School in Downton Charleston. Every Wednesday, he gathers with 60 boys for the weekly meeting of the “Gentlemen’s Club,” a place where the boys learn self-respect, social graces and how to wear a suit or tuxedo. (As Nelson puts it, “Have you ever seen two guys get into a fight while wearing tuxedos?” haha)
This is a HUGE help in areas with lots of single moms. And more schools are asking about how THEY can start Gentlemen’s Clubs of their own!
